“It’s Bigger than HIP HOP” dropped Thursday the sixth of June at Butter Sydney for the first time, in front of our close friends and fam during DOUBLESTAR CO’s 4th birthday. The feeling was vivid. All the hours and love we put into crafting the film for this story paid off big time.
It was exactly a year ago when we pitched the idea of this film to the Butter guys, Julian Cincotta and Manoli (Emmanuel) Politis. We had to capture this story because Butter’s vibe is everything—merging fresh hip-hop talent with fried chicken and champagne. Every month, an upcoming Aussie artist teams up with Butter to create a signature meal and blow up the venue with a live gig.
This whole vision came to life thanks to our amazing squad: (Director) Nathan Dagher, (Editor) Carla Martín, and special thanks to Tiffany McPherson, Jye Smith.
